Flint's Joe Purzycki
This
hunting story is about Joe and Mrs. Purzycki, Joe has been a member of
the Flint Association of Plumbing Contractors for many years and Mrs.
Purzycki belongs to their Women's Auxiliary. Altogether Joe came home with 17 different trophies. Now, don't you agree with me that Flint's Joe is a terrific hunter ??? Oh yes, some of the countries that this trip took them through are: Tokyo, Bangkok, New Delhi, Karachi, Cairo, Istanbul, Rome, Paris, Belgian Congo, Tangan- yika and Uganda. Some trip, eh wot? Along with the Joe Purzyckis was Carl F. Loerke, the Wood- ward Wanfer Co. representative for Michigan, another grand fellow. Who took care of the O.K. Plumbing and Heating business while the bosses were away?? Why none other than their two husky sons, Joe Jr. and Don and yes, one of these days they too hope to follow in their dad's and mom's footsteps. FEBRUARY 1959 FLINT ASSOCIATION held their annual Christmas party at the Airport Restaurant in the Horizon Room with President David and Mrs. Cuvrell being "hosts" to a wonderful group of fellow members and their lovely wives. "Orchids" go to Bob Almquist and Bob Eagleson for arranging this wonderful evening of dinner, a good floor show and dancing until ??
FLINT ASSOCIATION are having a joint meeting of the Flint Association of Home Builders and the Flint Association on May 13, 1959 at the Durant Hotel, Flint. Glen Shields will be the "speaker" of the evening and Norm Cameron will show the NAPC Story with the new Miami Convention ending. President Bob Almquist expects the largest turnout of members and guests for the year.
FLINT ASSOCIATION'S ANNUAL GOLF AND OUTING was held on July 14, 1959 at the Brookwood Golf and Country Club. President Bob Almquist reports a record turn-out for a full day of fun, golf, eating and dancing in the evening. Distinguished guests attending were: MAPC President and Mrs. James A. Dart, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Taylor, Ann Arbor; Saginaw Association's President Wenzel C. Dingman with their Executive Secretary William "Bill" Symon. The following won championships: Lowest actual score trophy, Jack Fingland; handicap champion, Amos Draper; long ball hitter, Don Williams, he nudged out President Almquist by six Inches, tough, eh wot? Last year's trophy winner, Al Neuman, was given a "wedge" as consolation prize for not retiring the trophy after winning two years in a row. He's a good sportsman. Many other wonderful prizes were given out, blind holes and door and one of my spies said that Bill Walters won in the locker room, true or false?? |
